Welcome to the
Valdosta Amateur Radio Club's
Official Website!

We are a progressive amateur radio club located in the city of Valdosta in Lowndes County, GA. We have been a chartered member of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) from 1941 to the present (68 years).

We are a group of radio operators from all walks of life, and have many different radio specialties. You are quite likely to find an operator interested in "rag chewing", digital communications, DX'ing, contesting, rig building, QRP'ing, DX'peditions, teaching new hams, VE'ing, as well as many other radio disciplines.

We make ourselves available to the community through a few organizations, including the Valdosta-Lowndes Parks and Recreation Authority, as well as Lowndes County Emergency Management, the Red Cross, Salvation Army, and any other public or government organization in need of volunteer emergency communications that is not readily available elsewhere.

We would like to invite you to look around our website. If you are interested in becoming a member of our club, please attend one of our monthly club meetings, and become a member!

We look forward to hearing you on the airwaves, as well as seeing you at our meetings and events!
